Royal Canis

Royal Canis was one of a dog living in the Canidae family in a jungle near the shoreline. Unlike its siblings, Royal Canis was bone idle and always drowsy, sleeping all the time and only working when being hungry. One of its favorite spots was a small cave in the mountain close to its dwelling that looked peaceful, quiet, and cool. There, Royal was free to sleep without hindrance from others, even earthquakes could not wake him up. After continuous attempts, his parents finally gave up, leaving Royal alone.

Yet unfortunately, there was a tsunami triggered for some reason, heading straight to the forest they were living. All Canidae members started running and so did Royal's parents. His parents also ran away in fright and at the same time sought Royal but they could not see him anywhere. And in the last minute when facing life and death, they had to abandon Royal to save other children. All they could do was pray for his safety and peace.

After a long sleep, Royal finally woke up. He got out of his favorite cave and started wandering around to find some food. Yet before him laid utter devastation. Royal could not find his parents or his pack, even his extraordinary sense of smell became useless as everything was swept away after the tsunami. Henceforth, Royal had to learn to live on his own and started the journey looking for his family. But this is going to be a long way because with its character, the time for sleeping definitely takes more time than traveling.
