Pegasus

For hundreds of years, there was an Equus family of five which belonged to the Equidae living on the beautiful planet Atomix. This group never stayed long in one place, but rather traveled across every wild steppe. Amoth them, Pegasus was the youngest and also stronger than anyone right from birth. His Father always pampered and treated him nicely, attempting to train him to become a great leader. That was why he always received the most care and love from his family, as well as was respected by many. His siblings were indulgent to him, his friends also let him take the lead every time they played together, and even adult horses had to bow to him. All of these privileges accidentally made Pegasus behave in an arrogant and haughty manner, always believing that he was the best.

The Equidae had a tradition of dividing power and position based on strength. The faster and longer ones run, the more respect they earn. Wishing to be the greatest like his Father, Pegasus against all odds often challenged others, from the youngest to the oldest. Everyone, nevertheless, did not want to irritate the future leader so they conceded the victory to him. And this even brought his vanity and pride to a greater extent.

One day when wandering around the forest, Pegasus overheard the conversation of his friends about his talents and the true story behind his glorious victories. He was very angry and could not believe this. He wanted to stand in front of them to defend and justify himself. Yet deep down Pegasus knew that actions speak louder than words. He quietly left his herd, starting to go outside looking for other opponents to prove himself, then no one could deny or doubt his abilities. Pegasus promised to come back only when he is the fastest on Atomix.
